I just got this in a text from my son who lives in CA.
FPC does it again.
NRA was probably busy blowing dudes in a back alley.
So it looks like this goes into effect in 30 days so as to give time for California DOJ to appeal (which they will). So in effect this is a moral victory but will likely not help us for a long time if ever.
Back to planning my move.
Show me where I said I would have rather it didn’t happen?
I’m just saying that as a resident of Kalifornia I have seen such rulings come and go and in the end we are still saddled with asinine laws in the meantime. Maybe in a few years this will bear freedom, but I have wasted far too much of my life hoping that Kalifornia can be once again a place for people of the gun to live free and I’m not going to let rulings that are made so as to allow the California DOJ to take up to 30 days to challenge before freedom is dispersed to get in my way of blowing this joint.
Lucy can jerk the football from Charlie Brown only so many times before he packs up his ball and leaves.
The Judge spoke truth and didn’t mince words.

Benitez for SCOTUS
In Benitez's ammo purchase ruling in Rhode v. Becerra last year, he denied a request to stay his decision and so the state went and got one from the 9th circuit. IANAL so this is just a wild guess, but maybe if he stays his own ruling it will affect how/whether the state can get an additional stay from the 9th circuit once Bentiez's stay expires? In other words, a short 30-day stay now might prevent the state from getting a longer one in the future. Any lawyers care to comment?
