I highly recommend a miata w/snow tires. Until it starts dragging, you'll be having more fun than everyone else.

If you can fit in it. I sat in one last summer just to try it out. Hurt getting in and out.

Mustang next to it was much better.

Back to the snow: some fond memories of ice and snow coming in off the Chesapeake every winter we lived there. We heated with wood, so had to cut and stack and stoke the wood stove. Dad and I and my little brother would drive up into the mountains for a couple of days to cut wood from slash piles where logging companies had them jumbled up, and load the truck, then back to the rental house in (some poor part of) Richmond where we lived to unload the pickup and return it to whoever he borrowed it from. One year, we were late doing it, and ended up driving back in a driving snowstorm. White world of snow. Bald tires on the borrowed truck.

Fun times. Ice broke down the trees in the whole neighborhood one year. Made gathering firewood for some a lot easier.

Very familiar with how NoVa/DC (or should I say NoVa/DC residents) are in the snow. As in: completely clueless. HEY YALL I GOT FOUR WHEEL DRIVE AND SUMMER TIRES!! I'M NOT SLIDING INTO THIS DITTTTTTTTCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHH....

I totally lost count at how many trucks I saw that ended up off the road on Rt 28 when I was commuting back and forth from Culpeper to IBM Manassas in my little '85 Honda Civic FWD with SNOW TIRES.

Best stay indoors and make hot chocolate.
And the next Howard Stern called and asked the price of a one way ticket from National to the 14Th street bridge.

When I came off active duty I moved back to south-central PA. I put snow tires on my '82 Civic wagon that winter and used it to go hunting. If the hill got too steep/slick to go up forward, I'd drift back to the bottom, turn it around and go up in reverse. That car was amazing.

I wonder if it will get so cold that the Democrats will have their hands in their own pockets.

The Wegmans here in Short Pump was quite busy at 0730 this AM.
Publix was not busy at all.
I hit them both early each Saturday.

The real question is, will it storm the capitol?

Let me guess a whole quarter inch of snow? At 6pm the FJ was snow free...
