Passive aiming with a shotgun (i2)

Has anyone done this? I'd really like to see the setup, whatever it is. Thanks!

The Aimpoint S1 seems perfect if they had NV settings. If I can find a range I will give passive a shot, I am curious how I will fare just using a left eye PVS14 and a right handed shotgun. The majority of my aiming with a shotgun is index based, I will report back if I have a chance to practice.

Given that it mounts to the rib, seems like it would sit too low for easy use with NODs.

I tested out my M4 and PVS14 last night. It was absurdly easy/fast to use passively, and no interaction between i2 and shotgun was noticed. I used LE132 due to recoil and flash, especially, at night with i2. No issues with flash were noted. Hits on steel at 20m were rapid, easy, and the whole system is an absolute animal.

Update. I used some Winchester ranger buckshot. Full power. The results were the same except I noticed no flash. I believe this to be due to the autogating and not the ammo not having flash. Everything plays very well together. This is a beast of a low light combo!
