It’s not the years, it’s the miles.

Millenial here...and by that I mean I'm 30 years old.

My welcome to 30 gift was the most millenial thing possible. A case of COVID-19. It got off to a good start, but that's all over now.

Also, 1980 will always be 20 years ago to me. But apparently that was 2001....

My boss and my wife (not the same) both consider me 14 based on their commentary. I think the memes and gifs on important emails get to my boss sometimes.

I think it is because I don't and never will have children, unless my wife leaves me and I find a much younger female companion, therefore I have never felt the need or want to "grow up".

Sure i do grown-up things like go to work and vote and invest and such but when it comes to everything else.....

My wife thinks that is why kids I don't know randomly come up to me in public. They can sense I am not really a grown-up, I just look like one.😁

Plus, potty humor is best humor.

I miss High School in the 70s...best seven years of my life.
Character is doing the right thing when nobody's looking. There are too many people who think that the only thing that's right is to get by, and the only thing that's wrong is to get caught.

    So much so this!

While my age is up there, years ago, my mother and I took an how old are you test. She tested in her 40's and I tested out close to 30 years her senior.
Since testing as Methuselah, I can't change how much shit life throws, but I could change how seriously I took things.

    No strings attached.
...and just like that, the America I knew and loved had gone missing.

Mark Twain would say that he was nineteen, during his acts/speeches late in his life. I liked his explanation, but cannot remember the details, now. I just remember I liked what he said. So, nineteen.

(I have been nineteen, for forty years, so, reluctantly, “voted” 50-59. I am almost eligible for the next-older group.)
