Thread: Streamlight Wedge - A Stiletto replacement?

Streamlight Wedge - A Stiletto replacement?

I have one of the original SureFire Stilettos and I like it, BUT I don't like the misfires it has in my pocket and I don't like the micro-USB charger interface.

I was looking at Soldier System and saw the Streamlight Wedge. It seems like it will be a good pocket carry flashlight. It has a USB C charging port. I looked on Streamlights web page and did not see the country of origin. I suspect it is PRC.

Looks good but not digging the switching.

Same. Add a tail switch for the momentary high mode and I'd be interested, but I'm not seeing as much use for that feature if the switching for it isn't fast and intuitive.

I like the form factor... and I'm flexible about switches....

    MSRP? Googlefu fails.

$149.95 per Ammoland (but I have no idea how reliable a source they are).

Do I read the data sheet right? 1000 lumens for only 35 sec burst?

Well, USB-C charging is a start, in the right direction. I absolutely loathe micro-USB.

Of course, I am still shying-away from Streamlight, due to a run of bad luck in the Eighties and Nineties, with SL-20 and Stinger-series. I was cursed, or Streamlight was cursed.

E.T.A.: It is not that I think Surefire can do no wrong.

Man, I like the looks of that light. It looks like a great EDC for actually looking at things. If I’m understanding the switch correctly, I like that idea, too. There are plenty of tail cap gun-centric lights out there already.
