I am unclear of the significance of this? Are not coyotes everwhere? Urban, suburban, rural?

This was in November just outside a 7-11 parking lot, urban Milwaukee

ETA: I have coyote "close encounters" a couple times a year while walking my dog.

“Is this your dog? No collar, does not come when called. This poor dog is hungry. Note: she* bites! I think she may have been abused. If you see this dog, please help! We need to get her adopted by a caring family who can show her the meaning of unconditional love!

Coyotes are all over the place.

Some years we have a lot of pressure from them. A few can do a number on calves.

Actually they aren’t *everywhere*, might explain why peeps in LL’s current neck of the woods are so excited ...

They've been in NoVA for at least a decade considering I saw a roadkilled one on I66 within Fairfax County more than a decade ago (I stopped that commute in 2010). I've seen or heard them in the Blue Ridge Mtns less than an hour west of here.

We've had black bears in the city limits of Manassas, VA within the last year.

Ergo, nobody in NoVA *should* be freaked out by 'yotes at this point.

Folks, trust me when I say (again) the locals in my AO would be freaked out. Does anyone not understand how crazy horse women and hobby farmers are?

Totally agreed nobody *should* be freaked out by a coyote.

They use to have a coyote begging for food from the elementary school kids across the street.
