Took receipt of the frame yesterday. It is pretty rough. Lots of dings, probably some small parts that need replaced. It had a lot of junk under the side plate too but it cleaned up decently. I was also hopeful that I would get a factory RB design but ended up with a SB. I’ll likely either RB it myself or have a smith do it. The barrel is a Model 15 barrel I got for cheap on eBay, I’m hopeful that it will work. Looking forward to sending it off once I collect all the parts!

Are you going to get a full-length ejector rod?

@jws - Unless you're planning on chopping the barrel back, this one would probably work better. The front sights on adjustable-sight guns are considerably taller than on the fixed-sight versions. OTOH, if you're gonna whack it, the rib gives the 'smith something into which to mill a dovetail for the front sight.

Numrich is a good source for small parts.

    Good luck with your build!

Thanks for the advice! My plan is to have it cut back to 3”-3.25” and hopefully put one of these on it if it will work:

I have been checking out Numrich for parts but found that barrel on eBay for around $25 shipped and decided it was worth the gamble if it doesn’t work.

    Thanks!

Yes, definitely. I’ve been working on finding one, I think I found one on eBay but I wanted to double check that it would work. This is the one I’m looking at:
