So I am going to send my pair of 64-6 4" HB RB K-frame to Mr Sokol soon. I want to provide the front sight, in specific a Dawson Precision NLM FO sight that is .115-.125 wide. My question has to do with height. These heaters will fire the Speer 135gr+P. To anybody that has trimmed a 4" barrel to 3", had a NLM styled sight installed, and shoots the Speer load, what height did you go with? Some say .150, others .160, will it make a huge difference?

It's still shooting a bit low. Front sight is 0.160. only place I can find that has tritium sights is Dawson. How much will each 0.01 adjust the poi? I used to have a sight saved to do the math

    Eta, Dawson was that sight.

Got a 0.130 high fiber optic front sight. I've never really liked FO sights .

    We'll see what happens

Still haven't shot with the new sight but here's a better picture.

Not bad but man it looks delicate to me. Could I put some epoxy on it?

    Not yet...

I have Dawson fiber optic front sights on several revolvers. Durability has not been an issue. Shoot the snot out of it and report back. Please.

I had mentioned at one point that It was sticking. I took the cylinder apart recently and found the gas ring jacked up. It looks like it was when I was screwing in the 2” barrel and trying to see what worked.

Anyways, cleaned it up and shot it some today with no sticking or issues.
