    CZ attempting to buy Colt

    https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/br...-acquire-colt/

Apparently struggling since emerging from bankruptcy in 2016, Colt has likely drawn the eye of potential buyers ever since. Now, thanks to CZ (Česká zbrojovka) parent company CZ Group’s public filings, we know it is attempting to purchase all of Colt’s Manufacturing Company‘s assets and is well along in this process.

Man I really like this idea. I think Colts 1911 equipment line has been upgraded. Could see some exciting products come out of this.

Exciting from a product perspective. Considering colts history I’m not surprised.
I hope they maintain that pony on the side

Colts problem is their employees are in the UAW Union.

Not really, but we covered that back in 2017: https://pistol-forum.com/showthread....d-damn-it-Colt

Reader's Digest version: Lots of debt, lots of money pulled out by "investors", over reliance on gov't contracts, an increasingly crowded and contested market for 1911s and ARs, and failure to follow trends in the civilian market place.

I’m actually genuinely excited for this.

CZ is a very legitimate company that’s actually interested in making guns.

I’m not sure what all of Colt’s issues are, but being bought by CZ actually seems like a godsend.

I really believe the Next Gen 6.8 rifle will probably be back burnered with the Biden administration- I may be wrong. But I just don’t see us rolling out new rifles, scopes, SAW’s, etc. under Biden.

The reason this is relevant is - I think this was probably a smart buy by CZ given that atmosphere.

    I could be wrong.

    ETA:

I think they did wonders for Dan Wesson.
    God Bless,

This could be a good thing, I just hope they don't kill off the Custom Shop as they've been producing really terrific pistols in recent years.
