Week 9: The Phlster Enigma is working well on runs - much more comfortable than pocket carry (with anchored pocket)... The flip side of my increased running is that I have been slacking on strength training for the last couple of weeks and it is probably reflected in the accelerating lean mass loss. Hopefully some of that was just water, but strength training will take a priority this next week...

    Amazing work.

While I won't be asking you out on any dates (sorry my wife get celosa), at some point you need to post up some before and after pics. This is incredible effort and results.

Thanks. I've still got another 35 lbs of excess fat that will take about a year to lose, but I have made a ton of progress so far. I don't have any good before pictures because I fastidiously avoided cameras, but here is one photo that I couldn't get out of from a couple years prior to the start of my weight loss (that shirt was either 5XLT or 6XL):

And here is me showing off my new found ability to conceal a glock 35 AIWB under a large t-shirt and jogging shorts using the phlster enigma:

I was 202.8 this morning and bounced around between 203.4 - 206.2 for a week prior. 206.8 was as low as I got last year and I felt like hammered dogshit. I feel really good this time. I am not quite at the lightest I've been as an adult, I was in the 190s for a little while in the Army (but spent most of my time in the 205-215 range) but I'm the lightest I've been in twenty years or so.

Great job BBI! I don't know what your diet has been like, but you've been killing it with the steps this year...

Breakfast is a jar of cold oatmeal, roughly 300-350 calories of oats, "Carbmaster" brand yogurt, and then a "mix in". Like apples/walnuts/ cinnamon or shredded carrot/raisin/vanilla.

Lunch if I'm not hungry is a piece of fruit and a yogurt. If I am hungry it's usually something like taco salad and guacamole or fish fried in olive oil and baked sweet potato. Leafy greens.

Dinner varies quite a bit, but pretty much always includes a salad with vinagrette, some sort of meat (chicken or fish on days I work, beef on days I'm off and eat a hot dinner), sweet potato. Sometimes beans instead of meat, but my wife limits my access to beans for some reason. Leafy greens.

After work I eat an oat cake that my wife makes. Oats, pumpkin, cream cheese, and sugar free whipped cream.

Coffee fairly often throughout the day. One diet soda with dinner. Water throughout the day. Fruit as I feel like it.

If I really want something "cheaty" I wait a few days and if I still want it, I eat it. I just reduce somewhere else. I've had a few slices of pizza, a bacon cheeseburger, and four doughnuts. I usually want fresh greens or an apple more often then I want anything "cheaty" so far this year.

    This is solid work guys.

I’m about a week out from the end of my second 6 week sprint, making consistent incremental progress in both waist to height ratio and weight loss.

I did meet a significant personal goal last week; I made it below 180.0 lbs for the first time in many years.
