    Right on, that would have been good context. I wear waved knives 80% of the time, particularly an Endura, plus a Delica, Dragonfly, and ZT. The PM2 was odd to me. I sold it to a forum member with disclosure — he might speak up.

    It's been many years since I've bought what is called a "tanto" by production companies. I don't own any of them anymore.


    I do still have a damascus custom from Kit Carson, and had an authentic Shinto or Shin-Shinto period tanto which I gifted to knife maker Jerry Halfrich, who is of Japanese descent, though raised by American parents.

    I became aware of these just a few days ago, just in time for them to sell out from BladeHQ... ah well. If anyone purchased one because of this thread and elects to resell it, I'm interested.
