Yes it’s very quiet. Every now and then the coyotes get pretty vocal
I remember that happening in May, but it may happen in April these days. I lived in Mesa and out on the Trail back in the 70's. High temps now seem to be somewhat higher than I remember.

A good friend of mine was Bates first employee and lived about a block behind his store. Drove a truck for him to bring nuts from CA.

Weather here is rain everyday now but 40-50ish during the day.

Didn't you see the cord running through the window, and the resultant towels to block the gap?

    I hope to fuck not.
He needs to be using a transfer switch/interlock.
Even if he is plugged direct into his fridge, etc, it is still mighty sketchy.

Even if he has flipped his main breaker, and is back feeding through his dryer outlet, it is still wrong.

He risked flying home from school in Seattle to go to this appointment which is for management of what is literally a life or death condition. I’m concerned that it will be rough driving, even if it’s all Interstate. I guess we’ll see how NHDOT handles snow.

When the plows roll over, you know it’s bad. Hope your wife and son are safe, and can reschedule.

There’s like a 900 page thread on generators that hopefully addressed the proper way to do this.
