I watched the entire series with me wife. I especially liked the duels. We should go back to that. No more trash talking on twitter or cable news, just televised duels in city parks on Sunday.
In the P-F basket of deplorables.
I watched it with the wife...for the wenches.
There's nothing civil about this war.
Evidentially you can watch it in UK English with US English subtitles. Nice.
From Older Offspring after a discussion of coffee:
"If it doesn't come from the Kaffa province of Ethiopia, it's just hot roasted-bean juice."
Being as how I am Cornish, and descended from Tin Miners who emigrated to Montana, I watched the whole thing previously. It's a pretty good series, all in all. Definitely worth a look if you like historic BBC dramas.
We're watching The Musketeers right now on Hulu:

Same kind of deal; sabres, pistols at dawn, just France 1630 ish. It's a lot of fun; PG rated though, very light on the wenches.
There was a 1970s BBC Poldark on public tv. We watched it avidly. I tuned in to the current version and tuned back out.

He's like Mr. Barnaby in "March of the Wooden Soldiers":
