Dude. I tried to watch Poldark with my wife and couldn't get into it. It was much more 'interesting' to her than to me, due I think largely to the long-haired, bare chested, brooding hero.

I watched the entire series with me wife. I especially liked the duels. We should go back to that. No more trash talking on twitter or cable news, just televised duels in city parks on Sunday.

I watched it with the wife...for the wenches.

There's nothing civil about this war.

Evidentially you can watch it in UK English with US English subtitles. Nice.

Being as how I am Cornish, and descended from Tin Miners who emigrated to Montana, I watched the whole thing previously. It's a pretty good series, all in all. Definitely worth a look if you like historic BBC dramas.

We're watching The Musketeers right now on Hulu:

Same kind of deal; sabres, pistols at dawn, just France 1630 ish. It's a lot of fun; PG rated though, very light on the wenches.

There was a 1970s BBC Poldark on public tv. We watched it avidly. I tuned in to the current version and tuned back out.

The redhead that plays his wife almost makes it worth the watch.
