Thread: Week 402: FBI Bullseye Course (Modified)

This was pretty ugly. Shot my Langdon PX4CC, freestyle.

234, with four completely off the target at 25. I was going way too fast on that 25 yard stage and the first string at 15.

    Then again, when I shot it in July I scored a 201 and a 236 ...

Positive thought for the day - if I’d kept all the misses in the 7, it would have been a 262.

The other positive, you identified what went wrong. Now you can train to prevent that next time. Keep it up!

Interesting side note - this summer I probably shot the course on a 10-8 Consulting's target, which has only a 5" 9-ring and much smaller 7- and 8-rings. Odds are my performance was a little off yesterday.

The real FBI target is ridiculously close to a B-8 according to Wayne Dobbs's measurements in this thread: https://pistol-forum.com/showthread....odified)/page4

    Nomad 9/glock 19 gen 5 upper with holosun 507c

    Score - 284/300

My 25 yard group was pretty solid for my skill level but it was high right. I did not adjust zero as I wanted to run several other drills to confirm that it wasn't just me. 11 of the dropped points came from this string. I then dropped 5 more points throughout the final four strings. My pr is 297 with a dotted 617 but this is fairly average for my centerfire runs. I typically drop most points at 25 and clean the rest, which I assume is fairly common for folks.

    After the 15 yard strings
"...we suffer more in imagination than in reality." Seneca, probably.
