    Combat Master!

    Yes a Detonic's shorty 45acp!

Seen here an hour after getting it home from the LGS.

Looks to be an early gun (first 2K production)

Guns are just machines and without you they can do no harm, nor any good

Nice find. I will be interested to learn how well and reliably it shoots.

Nice! I have a soft spot for Detonics...I had a MkVII that I wound up moving on, and my early Pendergrass, GA one was incredibly reliable, so long as you kept on top of magazine springs. Sadly I let my dad shoot that one, and he liked it so much that I had to give it to him..

Sadly Detonics went under before I could get another Pendergrass GA one. Every now and again I cruise gunbroker looking for another one...

I make due with my Sig P220 Compact; roughly the same size (give or take), except DA/SA..

    My pops probably built that.

I remember the home based FFL, that I used in the early 90s, carried one and said it ran well. I cannot remember if it was stock as he had a Gold Cup that had been massaged by a local smith.

A broken link pin would concern me as a properly timed 1911-pattern pistol does not stress the link pin much. Is the barrel riding the link and transferring stress to the link pin?

Once you have it up and running, I am sure the video will be fun.

That Kelley guy must be doing really well if he can afford enough ammo to shoot a gun like that in a match!
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.
