I had one way back when, I really liked it, and it ran well on the 200 gr H&G No 68 bullet at fairly stout velocity. I traded it on, as at the time there was no legal concealed carry for ordinary people, so i didnt think keeping it was very practical since I had a Colt NM for general carry-around.

I think I put maybe 1000-1500 rds through mine all loaded on a single stage press. I used Colt mags mostly.

I had a friend who carried a (badly gunsmithed) version of these for a while.

It was not very reliable.... hopefully yours works better than his did!

Once you have it up and running, I am sure the video will be fun.
You are correct (but you knew that) and I employed a remedy within an hour of owning it.
Guns are just machines and without you they can do no harm, nor any good

Hahahaha. Just a poor schmuck that has lived well within his means.

How about I shoot ammo that I bought in the 80's?

Be well GJM! Maybe we will share a range together again in 2021!

May I ask what needed to be changed on the barrel to stop it from riding the link? In the past, I had to replace the barrel as too much metal was removed from either the barrel lugs or the frame, but that pistol was a mess. Was the barrel at the muzzle interface to the slide an issue? On the short-barreled guns, the angles needed to handle the shorter length make things interesting.

Not in a habit of giving G'smith advice, but the link was to long.
