I've got a 10-6 that needs a sideplate and screws.

Will any K-frame sideplate work?

Or any Model 10?

Or must I have a 10-6?

Just about any K frame will work. There are some early variants you have to watch out for. Numrich PN 313390 fits 10-1 and later

Your best bet is a replacement sideplate from another 10-6 or K-frame approximating that time. Not any K-frame sideplate will do; one, say, from the four or five screw era likely wouldn't play nice, nor from the lock era, where frame dimensions changed.

When your 10-6 was built, after machining sideplates were hand fit to the individual gun. A replacement may swap in well-enough and it may need to be fit by someone trained to do so.
