What do you know about the Socialist Rifle Association?

The Socialist Rifle Association’s mission is to uphold the right of the working class to keep and bear arms and maintain the skills necessary for self and community defense.

The Socialist Rifle Association is a non-profit, membership-based organization dedicated to upholding the right of the working class to keep and bear arms and to promote the development of skills for self and community defense. We want to build an alternative to the conservative, reactionary right-wing gun culture represented by organizations like the NRA. Our chapters conduct range events and community mutual aid such as disaster relief. Members receive a membership card, access to community platforms, and a safe space for learning.
Armed Leftists set up private shooting range in the Southeast

A Southeast-based armed Leftist group has set up their own shooting range in Georgia. The range is fairly small, but it appears to be on private land and remains exclusive to the group. (AC: Armed Leftist groups compiled databases of gun ranges in the past but have grown increasingly frustrated with their policies or political stances. The Socialist Rifle Association recently launched a new campaign to build an exclusive gun range and training facility in the Northeast. They’ve already raised nearly $20,000 towards that project since last Monday. This initiative is likely inspiring the push to establish other private training areas across the country. The renewed interest in pandemic lockdown measures in some states could also be pushing them to establish more exclusive areas to gather and train. These could pose a risk to maintaining the privacy of their members but could also allow for advanced and tailored training. - M.B.)

I like the idea of buying guns and ammo with the money of others.
There's nothing civil about this war.

These groups are a thing, although more widespread in PacNW. You’ll find combat veterans of the US army within their ranks as well as people who volunteered and fought for the Communist Militias of the Kurds in Iraq and Syria.

The more people from any side supporting the right of the people to own and use guns is a good thing.

This. It's a shame they usually support political candidates that do not support the Second Amendment.

Aren't they just gonna turn around and give them back when they get "their" government anyways?

If they don't store all arms and ammo in a single location and make decisions about them as a collective, I'm calling BS.

ETA: there's a chapter in my city. I might join, this could be fun. I would need to buy a Hipoint first, though, as my Socialist gun. In case of collectivization.

I was active for quite awhile on another gun board (hi @Nephrology), which over the years turned much more left-leaning. From observing the other people there who were pushing the SRA, their members are at least Antifa-sympathizing, if not outright Antifa.
