Recommendations for B92 LTT RDO optic

Ok- LTT has their cut slides back in stock.
I’m serious eyeing them as my entry to CO in IDPA.
If I go this route, what optics are recommended?
Highest on my list of attributes is reliability and longevity.
    Beyond that, I don’t know what I don’t know.

To further illustrate what I don’t know, I have no idea what a “Dr Optic plate” or a “Shield/Delta plate” is. I at least recognize Holosun 509T and Trijicon RMR as the other options for plates.

Is “Delta/Shield” associated with the Leupold Delta optic?

    Responding to bolded part:

Yes, the footprint of the Leupold delta optic (which I presume shield also uses).

    Doctor/Noblex is a european brand (I think): https://www.opticsplanet.com/docter-...en-35-moa.html

Quoting myself to emphasize the things I really want to know…

Advantages/ disadvantages of the offerings from Trijicon, Aimpoint, and Holosun?

    I gather that a big-ish dot is a good idea…

    @GJM ?
    Anyone…

    Bueller…?

For gaming, amongst the 92 choices, get a SRO 5 moa and get going.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

This ^^. It should fit the RMR plate.

    Excellent.
Thanks @GJM and @HCM - that’s just the kind of advice I was looking for.

Is the SRO considered to be too big for practical carry? Especially considering that it is already pretty big for a carry gun...

    No.

The Beretta actually carries smaller than you might think because of the length and shape of the grip. The round shape of the SRO also helps.

I opted for the Trijicon RMR/SRO plate on my RDO because is also shares the same footprint as the Holosun. There’s actually some good HS red dots, 407CO if you like the idea of a 8 MOA circle reticle, or the 508T as another good choice. Window size of the HS is slightly bigger than the RMR. Or lastly, just bite the bullet and get a SRO. My RDO has the RMR on it, and I’ve practiced enough with it the window size doesn’t bother me.

I purchased mine with an SRO on it, and really liked it. However, holster options are exceedingly limited for an SRO-sized RDS, so I sold mine and got an RMR. If Midwest, US Duty, or Safariland will make a quality holster that fits the SRO then I may switch back as I think the SRO is of a higher optical quality. I have a spare slide I may send in for the RDO cut/plate for strictly CCW use, and if I do that I’ll definitely be considering the SRO again, but we’ll see. I’d love an ACRO P2, but LTT isn’t doing plates for those until supply catches up with demand.
