Thread: Phlster Enigma. A game changer in belt free carry?

  1. #511
I’m still having some problems with the belt cutting into my hips on longer days. Has anybody else experienced this or found a solution? I suspect if I was wearing it over a shirt it’d help but one big plan for it was summer use with just shorts and a tshirt. I’m tempted to try and add some sort of wider/softer material to spread the force out.

Here is my solution... 1.5" rifle strap pads from Amazon, $12 for the pair. One on each side completely fixed the pressure points. I've mowed, dug holes, planted bushes, changed mower blades, and other stuff over the past two days and the Enigma hasn't shifted or even made me notice the belt at all. The only slightly finicky part is attaching the one final velcro tab on the buckle side when you put on the belt... That's to keep that pad from shifting.
For $12 it's worth trying it out.

This is the answer. It completely solved that problem for me. I’d suggest getting his leg leash also.

That's his leg leash in my pic above... I didn't even try using the stock leash and went straight to his.

A new use for the Enigma…300 miles on a sport bike with a VP9 with RMR in a PHLster Classic, under racing leathers yesterday. Zero discomfort.

Would never have believed it possible.

I should mention, I wear an airbag vest under the suit- the pistol was over the airbag and under the leathers. Pretty amazing, no discomfort even in a full racing tuck.

Nice, I never go full tuck, but I’ve found it works well on the Tenere. I’ve worn it over my pants; but under my over pants when I didn’t plan on being off the bike for long and cold weather would have meant difficult access with a traditional holster. I also like the ability to wear it just a little higher than I might wear a traditional pants belt rig to get some extra clearance between the holster the seat and things that might get caught between the two.
im strong, i can run faster than train

Got my enigma and got it initially setup. Initial thoughts are positive. Some hotspots with the holster in the crease of the leg and also the buckle.

I’ll keep playing with it and adjusting but I think this and a JMCK Enigma shell will pair nicely.

I just drove over 400 miles in a car with multiple stops and felt great as well.

Have you broken the 1s barrier yet for draw to A-zone hit at seven yards?
