Thread: American Made Flashlights

    American Made Flashlights

Pretty much every flashlight brand is made in China. Surefire, some Streamlights, and Elzetta are made in USA. Are there any others I'm missing? I've had good luck with Fenix, Klarus and Olight, but they're all made in the PRC.

    Malkoff comes to mind.

Prometheus/Foursevens. While not all are produced in the USA he does as much as possible in the states and is very transparent on the website.

    The transparency is refreshing https://darksucks.com/pages/where-its-made

HDS Systems. Manufactured in US with some sourced components where necessary.

    There's a discussion in the FAQ. https://www.hdssystems.com/

I have always wanted one of the HDS Rotary flashlights, but the low lumen output, mediocre CRI, and high price...

Prometheus and Malkoff can build better stuff in a similar price range.

No one's mentioned ModLite yet. Closest thing I've found to a lightsaber is their OKW. It's a pocket spotlight. Great for lighting up the interior of a vehicle at night.

And also Oveready if you're counting small batch, high end flashlights.

I get that, and all I can say is I stopped buying flashlights after I got mine (EDC Tactical). It's bulletproof, the rotary interface is the easiest I've ever used and I've never found it to be lacking for my needs in terms of output. But that's me.

Not difficult to Lego some truly nice lights using an assortment of the above-mentioned brands.
