Two teens were shot and killed in Cocoa Friday afternoon involving a Brevard County Sheriff's Office deputy, law enforcement officials said.

Personnel from multiple agencies were in Cocoa Friday afternoon near Stetson Circle and Ivy Drive, where the gunfire erupted.

Details of what happened were unclear late Friday.

Gunfire rang out around 1 p.m. involving the sheriff's deputy, law enforcement officials said.

Sincere Pierce, 18, and his 15-year-old friend died, said Quasheda Pierce, of Cocoa, who is the older teen's mother.
