    LGS had this 1917

    Now I do!

Period correct custom or newer retro, I don't know.

    No maker's mark.

    No US property marks.

Does have a "flaming bomb" and a couple of what may be eagles adjacent to a S6 and S3 respectively.

4 1/2" barrel with brass tipped front sight. Modified to Round Butt (removed and plugged the lanyard hole and removed all marking in that area)

And its first outing after picking it up at the range where purchased.

Guns are just machines and without you they can do no harm, nor any good

Someone put a lot of work into that and it looks well done. Nice buy.

You're going to see if HST regulates and carry it for a while, correct?

Negative Ghost Rider. Too bulky for my belly and belt.

I have seen a lot of those modified and customized and refinished, that is one of the nicest. Great find!

    Nice...

I have a correct Colt 1917... made in July of 1918. Also have a Brazilian S&W 1937, but debating on finding a correct 1917.

I would like to find a modded S&W 1917 to mess with. Already have moonclips and a loader, so it would be a nice gun to add into the rotation (especially since I predominantly carry my 9mm 642-1). Nice being it is C&R, and come direct to my home. I have a .32 1958 Manurhin PP that I’m looking to dehorn and refinish for an extra carry/console gun.
