    That was a cool movie on PT boats, but the reality of American torpedoes during the first half of the war should have seen men being court marshaled.

    True. But there was Beretta's own advertising of the M92 as blowback.

    What I have always wondered was whether the added thumb safety is convenient and secure.

    I can only offer vague recollections but remember handling one in a pawn shop back in the '90's. Brief and dim memories say the safety felt cheap and fiddly. Then again it was awhile ago and might have been like a Century Arms conversion of a regular Tokarev.
