    Do I need Inconel AR springs for when the SHTF?

    Inconel is an excellent spring material for applications above 200C. For firearm applications it's significantly inferior to several other materials, particularly music wire.

    Most important for the detent and ejection port cover springs - that's where I'd put my money.

    Which part of this do we think is an important feature? The non-magnetic aspect (hint: it's not nonmagnetic)?

    I think the metric ton of smelly bearded dudes stacked like cordwood demonstrate that there are a lot of AR gimmicks that aren't necessary.

    I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm installing two sets of springs in every gun and magazine just in case the SHTF.

    If I had $20 to spend on an AR right now.....I'ld buy a couple rounds of 5.56 ball
