I gotta watch the recoil on longarms now (doc's orders). Still...

Any insight as to the recoil impulse compared to, say, an 18" 870 Police or Express synthetic?

Less recoil than an 870 or Benelli M1/2, but still too much for lots of shooting if you are worried about your retinas. The good thing is they are like a large AR, so once you get them zeroed you can shoot them sparingly and be pretty proficient, unlike a pump.

There is an adapter plate for the SGA stock that allows one to install a Limbsaver recoil pad for allegedly even less recoil... Never tried it myself.

Hmmm... not sure if it would work out, then.

It is a dilemma I don't think I am going to solve, as the 20 gauge guns are sometimes so much lighter in weight than a 12 that the recoil is almost as noticeable. I was sort of hoping to not end up relying on a heavy, long-barrelled side-by-side, firing really light loads (and calling everyone else "sonny").

Now might be the time to just haul all the scattergun stuff to the LGS and put it on consignment.

LGS has a new 1301T on the wall for $1,199. Checked it, and of course the front sight is canted right. Is that a Beretta design spec?

I believe it's supposed to help if you have cross dominant eyes. [emoji14]

I've heard references to these canted sights. Is it just the post in it that's canted or the entire assembly piece? When my LTT 1301 comes in I was planning on getting a Blitzkrieg front sight post for it. Will that fix the canting issue if there is one, or will the Blitzkrieg also be canted?

Well the good news is the one I just bought doesn't have a canted front sight. *whew*
