I usually carry my mini-Grip with me. Is the rescue cutter something you’d add to an ifak for a .civ guy? I have a couple pairs of trauma shears already but they are a bit big, so they’re in the med pocket of my range bag.
The theory of the rescue cutter or shears vs knife is the ability to cut quickly without worrying about accidentally cutting the patient or another responder.

The hook is more compact, the shears are more versatile.
