I bought two of them and they are pretty cool for building up a simple lightweight upper. They have a dowel pin that positively locates the handguard in relation to the upper, not exactly monolithic, but sorta. I moved my 300BO 7.7" pistol over into one of the 7" versions. I had a 10" carbine upper I sold to a buddy but before I did I shot it a fair amount and it seems great.

I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt on the website — I can’t even remember what websites looked like in 1996 😄 — I was definitely using email but really don’t remember the web. But I’ve bought 4 optics from Scott in the last couple of years and he’s super responsive and has the best Vortex prices I’ve found anywhere. He’s active on SnipersHide.com and is definitely good to go.
