I miss the Night Guard series.

Make them all round butts (which I think they do already now).
I prefer DAO revolvers, but that's just me.

S&W is already shipping far too many DOA, frankly.

That's because they're ugly. The slabbed barrels and straight tapered underlug looks like S&W still lives in the world of what someone could do in their garage with a WWII-surplus Bridgeport back in 1987, rather than what should be done in 2020 with CNC.

If S&W made an eight-shot version of this gun in .357 with no lock, I'd totally buy it:

I would be fine with a new design as long as it is low profile, good sight picture, and durable. Maybe just make them all in adjustable sights and offer the option of factory Cylinder & Slide Extreme Duty sights, or something similar/better.

    Whoops. Stupid auto-correct.

I agree totally. Just noting that the Performance Center offerings have grown at a rate that far exceeds any interest in them by serious gun folks.

I've sent Magpul the suggestion of revolver grips, too.
Also, maybe a Barami/DeSantis clip/hip-grip type side panel option as well.

I always thought that a Stainless wheelgun , modeled like a Mod. 58 in .41 magnum would have sold .

Later on ... S&W made the mod. 69. A five shot gun in .44 mag.

The same concept in .41 5 rds. In a "L" frame. Or... A Model 658 Fixed sights, 4" Bbl. built on the N frame.

It would have re popularized the (mid magnum) .41 Remington Magnum.

My Mod. 58 in blue needs a "Sister".
Custer wore the 1st "Arrow shirt".
Given the size & power of “Ivan”, we must now … and ever be Vigilant.

A .41 Special sounds good, but more likely would be a moon-clipped .40.
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

They already made it. The 646.

Because there's nothing "classic" about the current Classics offerings, other than cosmetics. S&W can't create a classic handgun by simply declaring one to be so.

It's 100% about cosmetics. If a guy is buying a 29-10 or whatever, he wants it to at least look like a 29-2. The lock and the hole wreck that.

I was watching a YT video about the 327 snubby and it got me thinking: Take the 327, ditch the lock (obviously), give it a 3" barrel, DAO, dovetailed sights like the 640 Pro. Then make the same gun in 9mm. Then make those exact same guns on the K, L, and J frames also. If we're really getting crazy, go to a grip stud like Ruger.
