Tyler Black: Navy SEAL that passed away unexpectedly

I was honored to serve with Tyler for three short weeks in Army Jump School and he made every moment of it fun. Humble, funny, tough, fast strong; just a genuinely great guy to be around and he was the dive buddy in BUDs of someone many of us are lucky enough to call a friend. He recently passed away unexpectedly from a blood clot during routine knee surgery at the age of 42, leaving behind a wife and two young children. Let’s nudge this GoFundMe a bit towards the goal. GivingBack has verified this charity campaign as legit.

Jesus. What a way for a guy like that to go. I’ll go have a look at the fund.

RIP Sir. Fair winds and following seas.

I had a friend I went through the academy with die from the same thing. He had knee surgery from a work injury. One morning he went out to start his truck and the clot went to his heart. He passed away in his driveway.
Just a dog chauffeur that used to hold the dumb end of the leash.

Almost there... Tyler was not the stereotypical SEAL in that he didn't care about appearance, hair, etc. He was extremely humble. One of the first things he said to me was "hey, you Marines can run pretty fucking fast!"

    Such a great guy.
