92 compact magazine release question

So I was playing with my 92 compact that I just picked up and noticed something about the magazine realease WITHOUT a magazine inserted. With the magazine out i can wiggle it front (toward muzzle) and back(toward beaver tail). It feels loose but doesn't rattle if you shake the gun. With magazine inserted its locked up tight. Wondering if this is normal. It does have stoner grips, not sure that matters

*to clarify this is the oversized checkered release that comes with the LTT guns

So I just went and checked my 92 Compact Inox. I have the oversized steel mag release in mine and it is tight with no wiggle. I do not recall it being loose when the original was in there. I would say if your functions fine, then it should be good to go. Others may chime in with what they think though.
