    Holster for Sig P239

I have had a Sig P239 for some time, and have been wanting a holster for it so it can be somewhat useful. I actually really enjoy shooting it, and even though it isn't the most practical carry gun in the days of the glock 43x, sig 365, etc., I still like it and could see it being a compromise between my 226 and an LCR for carry.

I have been struggling to find a quality kydex appendix holster for it. Two other additions just to make it even more difficult, I am a lefty and it has a threaded barrel. Is there someone making a quality appendix holster for the Sig 239? Any direction would be much appreciated!

When I was trying to find a decent holster for a SW99c I ended up getting one from Insane Kydex Creations. It wasn’t up to JM CUSTOM KYDEX quality. But it wasn’t bad. I’d reach out to them and see what they can do for you. They list the 239 and their holsters are open ended for threaded barrels.

I had never heard of them before, thanks for the direction. I'll take a look and see if that will work.

I have a Fobus for my p-239. I actually have two P-239's. I don't know the model # but it's RH OWB paddle that rotates to any direction. I carry it as a cross draw on my left side.

I know, that died out with gun fighters in the old west but it's pretty easy to get to.

Sig doesn't have any idea that they discontinued a fine carry pistol. What a bunch of idiots.

Looking at his current list of pistols, I don’t see it but, I have a JM for a 239 that sees a good bit if use. You might give him a call.

Dark Star Gear would be another recommendation that I’d explore also. He does mold for Sigs, I know, but you might check re the 239 specifically.

When we switched over to all CNC molds, the 239 along with many others was taken off our available pistol list. Thanks

Thanks for the JM suggestion, and I'm glad there are here to clarify. I actually do have an appendix JM holster for my 226 that I really like (and use all the time!). I went to dark star and JM as my first options. I do understand that for a company, taking the time and money to set set up to make a mold, etc. for a 239 holster isn't a very wise business move. I did end up ordering the insane kydex creation holster. I have never seen one in person, but it was an option, and so we'll see how it turns out. Turnaround time is about 2 months per their website, so now I'll just play the waiting game for now.

I've been thinking of trying one of these for my P239s:

    https://www.mtrcustomleather.com/pro...-aiwb-holster/

The P239 my favorite carry gun, overall. Right now, I usually use a cheap neoprene Blackhawk at 1:00 or a Galco shoulder holster. The Blackhawk (#6) is very comfortable and hides perfectly... but I feel like I should have better retention.

Thanks for sharing this holster option!! I just picked up a used P239 in 357sig and have been trying to locate a good AIWB holster for the gun.... The 239 shoots well, is decent sized for carry and with the 8 round magazines, its a 8+1 little dynamo! Have you run into any decent aftermarket grips for the 239??? My gun is a DA/SA and came with chunky-spongy hogue rubber type grips. I would love something grippy polymer type and was only able to find a replacement set of OE grips from Sig - I suppose I could talonize grip tape those if I think they need it but thought you guys might have other ideas?
