We have good service with RTIC on our boating expeditions - we keep this smaller one in the cabin and have a much larger one on swim platform for long weekends.

Engel has a good reputation in the offshore fishing scene. If you're happy with the specs on that one, I'd say go for it.

Personally I use a 25l yeti knockoff. I believe the brand is Sub-Z. Its distinctive features were as follows:

Cheapest rotomold in its size range on Amazon the day I needed it.

I didn't expect to be a fan but it's become my most used cooler and I use coolers a lot, mostly because of the amount of time I spend either on the water or on a tiny island with no power. It is bulky and has no drink holders but stays open and closed when you want it to, has a drain, and the latches are one hand friendly. The only time I use two hands is if I've just dumped in a bunch of ice and then closed it. It develops a powerful vacuum and opening it is no joke. Sometimes you have to crack the drain.

Once it's hit temperature this goes away and you can open and close it at leisure.
This is a thread where I built a boat I designed and which I very occasionally update with accounts of using it, which is really fun as long as I'm not driving over logs and blowing up the outboard.

I wonder if it's any worse than a Igloo Marine Ultra Cooler 30QT for $35?

couple of guys seem to have kept ice at least as long as my current cheap-o

has some things I'm not crazy about, but looks like finding a cooler this size with a drain is a bit of a stretch.
