Thread: What calipers do I need?

    I have a cheap RCBS branded Chicom dial caliper that is fine for reloading.
    If I want another decimal place, I get out the Starrett micrometer.

    Thanks LL. I wish I had better quality pics but we didn't have 12MP iPhone cameras back then, these are scans from 35mm prints. The pics really don't do the parts justice at all.

    What I liked was the coolant hose clamp attached to the overarm :-)

    And incoloy...not the easiest material to machine.

    We used inconelX for springs from time to time. Cool stuff.

    The material with the highest pucker factor that we ran on a regular basis was Paliney7. I became very fond of it but running 100k 0.15 diameter polygons out of 0.3 wire was spendy. Escomatics are easily the most amazing machine tool I've encountered.
