    Hummer EV

Looks like a winner. Suck it Tesla, this one will actually be built.

The commercial showing features seems so ridiculous and over the top I kept thinking it was a SNL spoof or something.

Wonder what they paid for the Zeppelin Cover. I assume the person doing the voice over is also a well paid celebrity, but I don't recognize the voice.

The cover of Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song is by Karen O with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Google says LeBron James was the commercial narrator, but I do not know if that is correct.

Sounded like him, and since he had one in high school, it's not much of a surprise.

I don't normally have much interest in EVs. But that's pretty badass.

I'm a skeptic. It will probably look like a trailblazer "SUV". . .

They sure screwed that one up.

Unsurprisingly, base model sticker is $80k and goes up from there. Top of the line one in the ad is over $112k, but reservations full.

    More shit to break.

    I dont need a $80-$100k truck.

Strip all the BS out, give it more traditional styling, and slap a $40k sticker on it and I might be game.

I am really glad to see what looks like a serious attempt at an appealing electric vehicle that actually takes advantage of the tech from one of our (old) US automakers. I was beginning to worry that they had completely surrendered the market to VW, Tesla, Volvo, and the Chinese (I suppose I am repeating myself with volvo though).

That said, like the Cyber Truck, I will believe it when I actually see it produced in volume. As of right now though, Tesla seems to be the only U.S. auto maker that is making a realistic effort to compete in the sector. (if you care about these things, TSLA just released quarterly earnings this evening)
