My oldest (20 something) got a message from an old friend's (known each other since they were 5, not close any longer but kept in touch) mom that her son had taken his own life the previous day.
Hug your kids every day folks. Be good to each other, especially today. Reach out. Seize the awkward.

I've honestly known way more than my share of folks who took their own lives. It was quite painful when I was much younger.
There's nothing civil about this war.
