    Properly fitted grips

I gotta say. Grips that fit your hand make a world of difference.

A splurged on a set of ahrends for my 2.75" m66 on ebay. They looked nice.

I had been struggling to find grips that look good, feel good, and works well with full magnums. I had recently gotten a set of retro target grips for my 4" m19 that worked really well even though they felt thinner.

Yesterday I shot 100 rounds of full power magnums in my m66 and could definitely of kept going. My hand felt as if I had used pachymers..

They look great! I always liked the looks of Ahrends' grips. It's a darn shame he had to close down his business.

I tried nice wood, once. Spegels on an S&W 28 and a 629, but anything above mid-level magnums beat the snot out of my thumb joint. Been using modified Pachmayr Grippers ever since, but maybe I need to take another look. It would be nice to have grips that look good.

Have a similar set of Ahrends except square butt, currently on a Model 15, before that they were on a Model 19. Normally I'm not a fan of finger grooves, but those work and I like them a lot. And they do the important things, like clearance for a speed loader... amazing how many others can't seem to get that right.

I have a Cocobolo set from Ahrens I treasure. Square butt K frame. It is no groove and is similar to Pachmyer's Presentation-Small in style.

I’ve got the round butt finger groove on my 3 inch 686+. They are excellent. I’ve got the round butt smooth on my 3inch 13, feels significantly smoother and thinner in the hand but also excellent.

Big time! I carry it from time to time with silvertips in a JMCK.
