I broke down and bought the Sony WH-1000XM4s. We're planning to spend a lot of time on planes in 2021 to make up for the trips that were cancelled this year and they might be comfortable for concentrating while working from home too. The Bose QuiteComfort 35 IIs are also on sale, and those are nearly half (!) off.
