what is a worthwhile laser system for dry fire practice. I would like one that I use my gun with, that"s about my only concern. I know there are pros and cons to every system so let me know what you like and don't like.
Thanks

What kind of pistol do you have - they make dry fire reset triggers for Glocks -
https://www.glockstore.com/Reset-Trigger-Kit-for-Glock
https://www.glockstore.com/Complete-...Trigger-System
The problem with them is that they only replicate the first shot from the Glock, and do not replicate the trigger after the first shot reset - if you use reset.
if you want recoil the only viable option in my opinion is the Cool-Fire System -

My suggestion would be to get the rapid fill adapter and laser, then pick the paintball tank refill option. With an IR laser that would run you about $523.00. I think I was out 38.00 for my tank and first refill, 8.00 after that.
I picked the IR because I run mine in conjunction with the LASR (Laser Activated Shot Reporter)
https://lasrapp.com/
For a recoil system you need LASR Classic and their advanced camera -
https://lasrapp.com/store/lasr-laser...-shot-reporter (scroll to bottom and look at the left column for Classic)
https://lasrapp.com/store/lasr-advanced-camera
I called them and they talked me through the purchase, they even steered me to an Amzaon site to buy the computer they recommended for running the IR system. You'll also need a tripod for the camera if you don't already have one.
I have about 1400.00 in the total system. The downside is that with the Cool-Fire trainer using the Rapid-Fill adapter, I had to use a heat gun and reform the bottom of my kydex holster. Plus, I transitioned from Glock to a Sig P320 Legion, so need to buy a new barrel for that pistol @ $285.00.
Training with the LASR app is fun, but to me resetting the scoring circles for different target arrays is a pita. Recoil is between a .22 pistol and a 9mm. It is noticeable, but not an exact replication. But IMO, it is the best adjunct to live-fire training you can get.
If you have someone interested in shooting, this is a great way to get them started. My wife absolutely loved going out in the garage and shooting. I say 'loved' because the system has been packed away for the last couple months - we were having a new shop built and emptied out a couple of storage units a little prematurely. the garage is stuffed full of cars and motorcycles as well as other junk that had been in storage. We just got electricity put into the shop and are arranging things so we have enough space to use the system there.
Hope this helps.
