    Colorado Hammered by Wild Fires

CO already had the Cameron Park fire eating up huge amounts of country. Now the East Troublesome fire has gone huge. It went from 19,000 acres to over 125,000 acres and moved 19 miles east in just 10 hours. It then crossed over the Continental Divide and is hitting Estes Park and other towns on the East side of the Rockies. Even if this was a mid season fire with lots of resources available, there is little that could be done to slow it down under these weather and fuel conditions. This late in the season with many of the crews having timed out for the year, they're in a real pickle for resources. Wild land fire behavior has way exceeded the fire behavior models several times this year. 2020 keeps bringing it. Twitter has some amazing photos at #easttroublesomefire .

We love Grand Lake area.... Looks like they're soon to be in the bullseye. The ET fire has gone crazy, burning 6000 acres per hour according to Grand Co. SD.
Keeping track of friends in Fraser and Nederland. Looking ok so far.

Stay safe folks. Be ready to bug out if you get the call.
