The guys over at Cast Boolits thinks Ruger bought Marlin to kill it. LOL When Ruger brings back the line, I hope they diversify calibers. I'll go broke but I hope they do. I have already done the .44 and was working on the .357 group. I would happily do a .327 and a .41 set too.

Agreed. I really enjoyed my 1894 .357 project this year. It shoots and handles like a dream and has given me the taste for more. This is good news!

    I’d like a 16” 1894 in 45 Colt and a 16” 336 in 30-30.

The 336 Dark 30-30 is just that.

I’d like to see a 16” 1894 in .44Mag with proper bore size and twist rate and factory ghost ring sights.
And I promise not to shoot my eye out.

(If they bring back the Model 39 I’ll have to buy one of those too)

Yeah, but I like lever actions to be blue steel with oiled wood. I have no desire for a “tactical” lever action.

Alrighty then. You know it's okay to have both, right?

I appreciate traditionally styled lever guns too, but the 336 Dark with its pre-installed ghost ring sights and threaded barrel is an attractive package from a practical (not necessarily "tactical") standpoint.

Ruger killing Marlin would be killing the golden goose.

With Winchester a shadow sub-brand of FN importing Japanese made lever guns and the weirdness involved in putting an optic on a Winchester they are in a great position to beat henry at their own game.
