"Orange Man Bad" is 100% Biden's strategy, and it's working pretty well. Partly, because Orange Man is bad. I do not expect to enjoy a Biden presidency. I've expressed here that I'd much, much, much rather vote for Pence. Unfortunately that doesn't seem like an option.
I think, if anything, Trump has cranked the "swamp" stuff up a level. He's:
1. Forced the Secret Service to pay full non-member $650-per night fees, rent golf carts, and shit like that to protect him at Mar A Lago, where he's spent a full third of his time.
2. Spent campaign funds on personal matters, like legal bills over NDAs with porn stars and on family members legal matters, some of which lead to a criminal conviction.
3. Spent campaign funds on paying his own properties and businesses to hold campaign events and operate his private planes.
4. Appointed campaign donors to important positions, including the Deputy Secretary of Commerce, the Secretary of Education (who I actually like), the Labor Secretary, and the Treasury Secretary.
5. He's gone after any Inspector General who looks into his appointees, even ones investigating minor matters, like firing the Dept of State Inspector General who was investigating using State resources to pick up Pompeo's laundry.
6.Collected license fees to use the Trump name from unfriendly foreign governments like Turkey and Pakistan, instead of divesting from domestic and foreign businesses like previous presidents have.
7. Had 8 major campaign and administration staff indicted for various stuff, 6 if you somehow believe that Flynn and Gates didn't do it. In particular, Cohen for lying to congress about a Moscow hotel project and organizing illegal payments to cover up porn-star sex, and Bannon for defrauding Trump supporters out of millions.
I think this is far, far more corruption than the general self-dealing we usually see from politicians, and it's certainly less-well-hidden. The shit we usually get, like "My VP Daddy is important, please give me a board seat in your company" is tame in comparison. Possibly because yeah, he is an outsider, who doesn't know how to properly hide his get-rich schemes, vet employees, or follow ethics rules while he's in office then cash in after. I don't see that as a plus.
