    Tikka T3x Lite Roughtech

    Tikka T3x Lite Roughtech .308.

    New for 2020.

The Roughtech sports an all-weather grip surface on its stock with a fluted, blued 5/8x24 U.S. Spec threaded barrel. Also included is a fluted bolt, oversized bolt handle and blued muzzle break.

    6.6 lbs
    22.4" barrel
Seems like a nice all around package.

I assume the 22.4" barrel length includes the brake, making it something like 20" without the brake?

ETA: Also, the similar Veil Alpine and Veil Wideland editions.

I just recently purchased a Superlite in 7mm-08. Shoots fantastic out of the box. I really feel like I'm getting high value for money spent. Bought it to be my deer rifle and glad that I went with my choice.

I've handled a Sako A7 with the Roughtech stock and the surface is grippy but not abrasive. Nice. I have a 308 and 30-06 T3x Lite. The addition of the enlarged bolt handle is definitely a big bonus. I got the 308 T3x for less than $600 but the $300 premium for the added features is probably worth it.

Good to see that my right-eyed and right-handed friends have more options. Please buy plenty, so Tikka will consider making lefty versions.

(I can shoot long guns from either shoulder, but for best results with aperture sights and scopes, must shoot lefty.)

    Sweet!

7mm-08 is one of my favorite deer cartridges.

They just won’t make one with a decent adjustable cheekpiece, will they?

This model Wideland is available with 20" barrel. Drop the brake and I'd guess it's a 18.5" barrel and might fit nicely in the Practical Rifle category.

Unfortunately it doesn't appear available in the US yet.

I have a head like a Finnish Tikka engineer: big with fatty cheeks. No comb risers needed. Sight picture appears instantly upon mounting the buttstock.
