Thread: National Anthem like I've never heard it - Madison Rising

    I like this rendition:

Is the boy you were proud of the man you are?

Fimbo iliyo mkononi, ndio iuwayo nyoka!

    And this one also:

Is the boy you were proud of the man you are?

Fimbo iliyo mkononi, ndio iuwayo nyoka!

I don't think I've ever heard it as a duet before either. Nice.

I don't think many performers can sing it softly AND powerfully at the same time.

I love our National Anthem; there is no other like it. Even after over a half century of listening to it, when done traditionally with conviction & hart by someone with a decent voice it still brings tears to my eyes. It can NEVER be replaced.

    That said.

I liked and enjoyed Madison Rising’s interpretation. It is done with conviction, hart & pride; combined with the imagery of the video it swelled my hart with pride and brought tears to my eyes as well. While it will never take the place of our Traditional National Anthem, in the right venue, at the right time, it is respectful and appropriate.
