Much appreciate the suggestions, especially @farscott @Jim Watson and @Default.mp3. I'll look into those.

I should have mentioned usually shoot in the evenings locally, as otherwise it is so hot here in FL during the day that my equipment would melt, sure as the One Ring cast into the fire of Mount Doom, hence short sleeves.
The problem is USPSA is a day sport. Welcome to the Sauna!

For sun protection in hot weather, I've found a short-sleeved shirt and sun sleeves to be more comfortable than a long-sleeved shirt.

Thanks again all. Looking over the options I came upon this 100% polyester long sleeve by Hanes, so I am going to order a couple in p-f orange:

I have seen this as well. Can't tell which is better personally. I imagine thats an individual preference.

Well crap my purchase was disapproved by SWMBO ("You won't like all polyester, Rich") so I ordered one of these cotton/poly 60/40 instead:

I have several of these in grey and blue that I have been using for PRS like rifle training in the heat to protect arms from concrete, etc. Cheap enough I do not care if they get damaged but pretty nice for sun protection too.

I use Mission and Marmot athletic shirts for some stuff but I tend to wear more hiking/fishing button downs these days. I like having a collar, the ability to undo buttons for venting, and and the non-stretch nylon fabric tends to snag less on briars, nails, staples, splinters, etc.

They also allow you to look less like a bum on the way to/from a range.

Please let us know how those do with odors. I have had some shirts that once I sweat, it was like the stuff was bonded to the shirt. It literally smelled fresh out of the dryer. My wife took it as a personal insult and washed by hand, in the machine with different detergents, and finally conceded defeat and tossed them. Not sure if I it was me but it was definitely not good.

Polyester is well-known to get really rank, but there are ways to combat it, as listed in the article linked.

    Will do, for sure.

That feature would not last long in my house, either.
