Not difficult to get into, but do take care disassembling it. Taurus won't sell you internal parts. (I ended up having to scrounge the aftermarket to find a cylinder bolt spring, which was, weight for weight, probably one of the most expensive thing I've ever bought.)

There's a thread on disassemble with good pictures, on the Taurus Armed forum. See https://www.taurusarmed.net/threads/...l-guide.22219/
Then maybe I'll just buy one with a bobbed hammer. Everyone should have a half dozen or more small frame revolvers anyway. They are just so convenient to carry any leave various place in the home.

I did an action job on an M380 which is similar.

The light strikes turned out to be the shape of these particular bullets not seating in the throats of two chambers so light strikes because of the initial failure to seat with that ammo.

Took the heat gun to my Cleveland Kydex holster. It was so tight that it would prevent any gun grab, even from the user.

Now it works well and is just about right. It’s not the most comfortable holster though. Is leather usually more comfortable with revolvers? It’s not horrid or anything, but it’s not what I would like for EDC.

What other revolver holsters will the 856 be a close fit in? Don Hume is having a sale if you want leather.

Idk. Galco sells one that fits a few revolvers like the SP101 and the 856. I’ll look at Don Hume.

I have found that holsters for the 101 are a bit big for the 856.
The Colt Cobra 3" is closer in size

Close enough to have a secure fit?

    Would a S&W 640 holster be a candidate ?

MY 856 fits sloppy in a 101 holster,

But a Security Six won't fit in the holster.

My 642 [close to a 640????] swims in the 101 holster.
