Keep us updated...I'm curious as to their turnaround time before I decide to dive into the Taurus pool (again).

They said to allow up to 4 weeks for repair. I think the ejector star has a bad spot that didn't allow the hand to move the cylinder enough. I checked barrel/cylinder gap and headspace and they were within limits. No end shake. I'm anxious to get it back to see how it does.

The place I got my Ultra-Lite had 11 when I ordered a few days ago and now they only have 5. Are you guys snapping them up? )

About a year or so, I bought a G3 (I have no idea why), and it wouldn't feed @ 30% of the rounds (FMJ or JHP) from any of the four magazines I had for it (feedramp issue). At the time, word on the Taurus forum was that turnaround was @ 6 months. I sold it for a loss, disclosing the issue to the buyer.

I've been eyeing the 85/856/605 models, but hesitant due to the bad taste of the G3. I've had mid 80's - early 90's 66/669/85's in the past and they were flawless performing tack drivers.

Having fitted a few binding ratchet teeth on my M&P 340, I would view that as an opportunity to get it right myself, rather than letting them f it up again.

I decided that since they are paying for shipping, I would give them one chance to fix it.

Here are pictures of the black Ultra-Lite that doesn't work, compared to my "stainless" that has about 750 rounds through it. Cell phone pics.

Will it fit in any K frame holsters?

    In a nutshell, no.
It's been discussed within this thread.
    An SP101 holster is loose.
    J Frame's are too tight.
A Colt D frame holster is said to work, but I cannot confirm
