That mount is a B-Square. They are (were?) famous for using the rear sight cut to secure the mount. Wonder if that mount did not require D&T of the top strap.
I know that at my age I should be more appreciative of the advantages of red dot sights so please forgive me but...
That thing just looks awful on a revolver. Over sized and out of balance, if it came into my hands I couldn't take that thing off fast enough. And, I wouldn't buy it if the original rear sight wasn't included.
As to the original question, or course the M-14 would be a delight for Bullseye. Full wad-cutter heaven.
