Wow! We have almost every category represented by a vote except the 72 to 89.99 band. I'm somewhat surprised at the range of values folks have selected. Going to be interesting to see where a major online retailer of a common FMJ 9mm round ends up by the elecgtion.
(Note for the math geeks: The price bands provided in the poll were (roughly) computed as starting with $18.99 as a base, then adding 25% to the previous. That way, each one is a little larger than the previous one by a predictable amount. I smoothed the numbers out a bit.)
Oh, and who let this guy in:
It'll still be listed for $18.99, but you won't be able to buy any.
I know it's not the Federal website and it's not 124gr but...

We could isolate Russia totally from the world and maybe they could apply for membership after 2000 years.
Well I must admit, in setting up the theoretical criteria for "ammo price" in this thread, I did not count on the possibility that Federal AE 115 might not actually be "for sale". The price on the Federal web site has been $19.99 a box of 50 for a few days, but it's currently listed as "unavailable".
So, to allow as many chances for a lucky p-f member to use the coveted "Karnac The Magnificent" avatar and add an official Winner: Official p-f Ammo Price Predictor (2020) tagline to their signature, I'll add an additional winning category: I'll compute the average price per round of the five cheapest, available, brass cased, new 9mm ammo between 115 and 150 gr, being listed on Ammoseek. For example, using today's values:
The average today is $0.595 per round. With that, I will allow anyone to update their prediction at this time with a new number. The election is 39 days away.
I'm think I'm gonna look back at that 500.00 case of Tula I bought last night and wish I'd maxed out 2 credit cards and emptied my savings.
I just listed some primers and projectiles for sale on my local forum today at prices I would have thought ridiculous only a few months ago. If I get any takers, I'll make a massive profit, percentage-wise. If not, oh well, I've got primers and projectiles and I'm never going to feel sad about that.
I was thinking I needed to buy a couple of cases in February/March. I still have some, but not sitting as comfortably as I’d like to be on cheap factory ball.
Oh, well. Time to crank up the press again. Maybe I’ll finally buy a Dillon and dedicate the turret to rifle ammunition.
